Miss Angelina

Angelina Barbosa, a native New Yorker, raised in Central Jersey, began dancing at the age of three right here at Rising Stars. She won numerous awards for her participation in group routines as well as her solos in multiple genres. She has won numerous Title awards as well as the highest scoring routine for an entire competition with one of her solos with Miss Joelle.

While continuing her training at Rising Stars, she was accepted into the Joffrey Ballet School and pursued training in New York City at only thirteen years old. She excelled in the Jazz & Contemporary program after being accepted into both the Jazz and Ballet programs at 14 years old under the direction of Angelica Stiskin, and graduated the program at 17 years old after premiering her senior piece in their spring student showcase. She has performed in various theaters throughout New York City, including FIFA, Martha Graham, Peridance Capezio Theatre, and Ailey Citi Group Theatre. She has worked with MOVEDIPR as their junior apprentice under Dionna Pridgeon. She has also spent a year touring all over the country as an advanced Artists Simply Human (ASH) assistant, training under Lisette Bustamonte, Tovaris Wilson, JoJo Gomez, Desmond Richardson, Dwight Rhoden, Rudy Abreu, and Gregg Russell, to name a few. She has also trained with Complexions Summer Intensive program on full scholarships. Within this past year, she has been seen in an iHeart Media and a T-mobile commercial, and she was in the Ensemble for the world renowned Radio City Christmas Spectacular for the 2019 season performances! Recently, she has been teaching at studios all over the tri-state area, and extending her knowledge and love of dance to students everywhere who are eager to learn and come into the world of professional dance.
