Miss Lindsay - Director
Lindsay’s choreography for solo, duet, trio, and group routines have received top accolades, titles, and overall awards at regional and national competitions. She prides herself on the success of her students, many of whom have been accepted to their high school and college dance teams as well as prestigious performing arts programs such as Howell High School’s Fine and Performing Arts Academy. Her students have been featured on The Today Show and have performed in The Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular.
Lindsay graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Education, with extensive course work in Child and Adolescent Development. While a student at Rutgers, Miss Lindsay danced with the Rutgers Performing Dance Company and studied Modern Dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts. Lindsay is certified by Dance Educators of America (DEA) in Levels One and Two in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Modern, and Pointe under the direction of Charles Kelley and Raymond Lukens. In 2010, Lindsay also became Zumba Certified in Basic One under the direction of Beto Perez and Tanya Beardsley. She has been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine and was chosen to be a Capezio Summer Intern in 2012. Most recently, Lindsay became certified in Acrobatic Arts Module One in Summer 2017, and leads our acro program with Miss Joelle. She continues her training by attending annual summer conferences and workshops such as The Dance Teacher Summit and The Dance Teacher Web Conference & Expo.
Lindsay is proud to have grown up at Rising Stars and is very excited about her new role as Artistic Director/Co-Owner and working side by side with Joelle to bring their students the best in dance education. She believes the most important part of her job is to give her students a strong foundation that will enable them to progress to the best of their abilities while instilling in them a love of dance that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Watching them grow from the time they enter our doors to the time they graduate is an honor she takes great pride in.
