For Danielle Porrata, dance has been a known passion since the young age of 4 years old when she took her first dance class at Happy Feet Dance Studio in Brooklyn, NY.
Miss Danielle studied all forms of dance extensively including Ballet and Hip-Hop while
concentrating on her two loves: Tap and Jazz, although she loves all forms of dance. A highlight of her dance experience has been when she competed in several dance competitions. She has won numerous high and specialty awards and attended many dance conventions as well.
Miss Danielle brought her dance talents to her High School where she choreographed back to back Sophomore and Junior Sing performances. Her love of sharing dance and teaching other students began at the age of 14 years old, when Miss Danielle became a Teacher Assistant at her dance studio. Miss Danielle continued to teach after graduating college as well. She has extensive experience with teaching Tap, Jazz, and Hip-Hop to students ages 2-15 years old.
Miss Danielle's love of dance and passion for teaching led her to become the dance teacher and choreographer of a children's day camp program. Additionally, Miss Danielle worked alongside Hip-Hop choreographer Mr. Kid for 2 years at a dance studio and at several dance workshops
throughout Brooklyn, NY. Miss Danielle is very excited to be part of the Rising Star family.
Miss Danielle joins us in teaching our youngest of dancers. As a mother herself, she is so happy to share this love with her little dancers. Her love for dance fuels her to share that passion with the students she teaches. "Dance with your heart...and your feet will follow."
